I’ve been pretty caught up with life happening and everything, so here are some loose notes that I write in my phone throughout the day. I’ve gone through the trouble to put a title to them to give a bit of context.
Selfish Motives
People are always looking out for themselves before others.
This is not a problem, but in fact is just a way of life.
The difference being, one you work to solve, and one you work with.
Use this to work with others.
Morality, What Even?
Is religion amoral? Or more so, harmful? Do the limitations of kindness of a form of thought restrict the extents of kindness and generosity?
Should we not love those who are the other equally as to those that are of kin?
Is it possible to even love someone without not loving another?
Is love a zero sum game?
Is happiness a zero sum game?
Can we as a common consciousness be truly happy, and fully happy by making others happy?
Even if it in no way comes back?
If karma is not true, what explains morality?
If karma in the sense of zen Buddhism is to be prescribed to, then karma equates the benefit of helping others inherently.
But what of sociopathy?
Is not caring the root of evil?
Good, Evil, Ambiguous?
Is malicious behavior a myth?
Is it possible that all malice is just poorly conceived justice?
If truth is built retroactively, and If truth is subjective... then is all evil done so by those who are good?
Labeling, Who Are You?
What is the normal character of a person?
What can you measure but the actions that one does?
If it is true that there is a range in actions that a person will do, it is true that there are more good and more bad things a person is capable of doing.
But then do we not condemn people for their wrong doings for their whole lives? Brandished as this or that?
The brand that we wear for the good we have done is but a shirt that we wear. A medal that can be removed or denounced. A badge that is taken off at the end of the day.
But what of the lows? When can one shake off the horrors of the past?
Are we even ever allowed to?
Selfish Motives
How do we know what we love?
Do we love what we liked for a long time?
Is love just a measure of time that you enjoy something?
Does love grow like a wine?
Or like mold?
Does love grow like an fire?
Or like an bomb?
Danger
Danger is nothing but the measure of unchecked potential.
Potential harnessed for good is a tool.
Potential harnessed for evil is a weapon.
Potential unharnessed is dangerous.
We should not fear potential for the simple fact that it could be detrimental. Fear is not conducive to a good outcome.
Should we not attempt to conquer high potential?
